Lone Wolf Reviews: Prepare your Home Emergency Kit
Look, I know better than anybody how tight money is these days. But can you afford not to have at least some of these items on hand?
To make it easier for you, I've taken the recommended product list, thrown in a few ideas, and searched for products to save you time. (Click on the images for more information.) I have a list of pre-built emergency kits and bug-out kits if you want to go the quick and easy route.
Please, email me your own ideas and suggestions. We are all in this together!
Also, make sure you have a plan and practice it - everyone should know what to do.
1. First aid kit
2. Medicines. Talk to your Doctor/Pharmacist about your prescriptions and how to prepare for an emergency.
3. Battery-operated radio - I'd recommend one with a weather band. Have extra batteries on hand unless it's self-powered.
4. Flashlight(s) and batteries
5. Extra clothing, rain gear, blanket, sleeping bag
6. Miscellaneous items such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags - you get the idea.
I would suggest you consider keeping everything in a bag except the food and water. That will save you a lot of time - you can't be guaranteed of having hours to pack.
